The Department of Medical Oncology is the National Key Clinical Specialty, the National Demonstration Ward for Cancer Pain Standardization, and the National Flagship Department for Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine. The department ranks among the leading oncology institutions nationally. It encompasses three core specialty areas — lung cancer, breast cancer, and gastrointestinal tumors — along with subspecialty groups including lymphoma, genitourinary tumors, bone and skin/soft tissue tumors, gastroenteropancreatic neuroendocrine tumors, malignant melanoma, and tumor interventional therapy.

Precision Systemic Therapy
Reached the advanced domestic level in precision chemotherapy, targeted therapy, immunotherapy, and cellular immunotherapy, based on MDT collaboration and molecular testing-guided personalized regimens. Participated in more than 500 national multicenter GCP trials and contributed to over 100 clinical guidelines and consensus statements published in NEJM, Nature Medicine, and Lancet Oncology.
Advanced Local Therapies
Pioneered spinal port implantation for leptomeningeal metastasis from solid tumors (first case in China). Photodynamic combination therapy. Local treatment techniques such as interventional therapy and HIFU (High Intensity Focused Ultrasound) routinely carried out.
Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine
As the National Flagship Department for Integrated TCM, offers treatments including traditional Chinese medicine, acupuncture, moxibustion, and auricular acupuncture to address adverse reactions related to chemotherapy.
