Magnetic Surgery is the most distinctive clinical new technology of the First Affiliated Hospital of Xi’an Jiaotong University. Under the leadership of Professor Lyu Yi, the magnetic surgery team has pioneered 11 new international surgical procedures in magnetic surgery and established the world’s first specialized ward for magnetic surgery. Currently, it has become the clinical center with the largest number of magnetic surgery cases in the world. The technology has been adopted by renowned hospitals in over ten countries including the United States, Germany, South Korea, Canada, the UK, Czech Republic, Turkey, Mongolia, and Azerbaijan.

Magnetic-Assisted Liver Transplantation
Pioneered the magnetic-assisted liver transplantation technology, setting a world record of the shortest non-liver period of 9 minutes and 50 seconds. Further developed laparoscopic liver transplantation technology based on this breakthrough.
Magnetic Ring Compression Technique
First domestic magnetic ring compression technique for treating biliary stricture after liver transplantation. No open surgery required. Suitable for various postoperative anastomotic strictures, especially biliary strictures after liver transplantation. Over 30 cases performed with favorable short-term and long-term outcomes.
